Citizen TV anchor Lilian Muli has filed a divorce from her husband of seven years Moses Njuguna Kanene. This should now settle rumours which have swirled around her marital status like a live broadcast without a sound.
The Citizen TV senior prime time anchor, whose voice attracts many millions of Kenyans and keeps them glued on their televisions married Moses Njuguna Kanene in a highly publicised pink and white themed society wedding in September 2009. Highlights of the ceremony included a white vintage bridal car that was followed by a convoy comprising six E-class Mercedes Benz cars to the Windsor Golf and Country Club in Ridgeways.
Lilian filed for divorce at the Chief Magistrate’s Court at Milimani in Nairobi, on January 7, 2016, citing “adultery, cruelty and desertion” as reasons for calling it quits.
On 14th October 2016 the sexy screen siren recently confirmed that she has indeed divorced her husband on live TV. This was during her popular One on One interview over the weekend, where she hosted veteran journalist, Jeff Koinange.
After the interview, Jeff gave out two copies of his autographed biography; one for a fan and the other one for Lillian. But when the sexy screen-siren was asked by Jeff whether he can write her husband’s name on the copy, she quickly answered,
“No, Muli is just fine” Apparently ,Muli is her father meaning she has nothing to do with her husband Kanene.
